High in snow-clad fabled mountains,
Rich in vedic folklore,
Sits mighty mythical,
Three-headed Lord,
Lord Mahadeva of devas.
Since times immemorial,
As we all know,
Smeared with ashes,
Garland of yellow flowers,
And poisonous snakes,
Covered with tiger skin,
Oh Lord Almighty,
You double it as your throne.
Sitting in a trance,
With your eyes closed,
Oh Lord
Yet you monitor
The three worlds,
At one go.
Mahadeva of devas,
Such is the power,
Oh Lord you are known to wield,
Since ancient vedic times,
Oh Lord
Your power to tame,
Raging Mother Ganges,
Oh Mahadeva
Through your matted locks,
Is transmitted from
Mouth to Mouth,
Since Vedic times.

You are benevolent by nature,
You are known to grant boons,
To all devotees,
Both good and bad
